FACULTY HOUSES PRINCETON, NJ

UPDATED CLASSICS FOR PRINCETON’S FACULTY HOUSING PROGRAM

JBA has provided architectural services for several years to Princeton University, renovating numerous houses in the PU Faculty Housing Program, as well as College Master residences.  Several of these are in the Broadmead neighborhood, where most dwellings were built in the early 20th century, in Tudor style.  The College Master houses are late Victorian, and date from the end of the 19th century.  Typical of this work is to preserve the exteriors to reflect the time periods in which they were constructed, while selectively opening up the interiors to conform with contemporary living, along with bath and kitchen renovations, HVAC, and technology upgrades to meet today’s standards.
